General terms and conditions for hotel services

These General Terms and Conditions for the Provision of Hotel Services (hereinafter referred to as the Terms and Conditions) establish the procedure and conditions for the provision of services by the Porto Hotel operated by UAB VVARFF and located at Pramogų St. 2, Truikiai village, Babrungas eldership, Plungė district municipality (hereinafter referred to as the Hotel).

1. Services provided by the Hotel:

For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions, “services provided by the Hotel” means accommodation and catering services for Hotel guests, as well as the rental of premises for conferences and/or other events.

2. Procedure for submitting and confirming reservations:

2.1. Reservations for Hotel services may be made by email, by telephone or in person at the Hotel.

2.2. When making a reservation, an individual guest must specify the number of guests arriving at the Hotel, their first and last names, the desired category (type) of room or premises to be rented, the dates of arrival and departure, and the method of payment for the services provided by the Hotel;

2.3. A reservation for services provided by the Hotel may be guaranteed by credit card, advance payment or an agreement with the Hotel;

2.4. When checking in at the Hotel, the guest(s) must complete and sign the Hotel Guest Registration Card, specifying their first name, last name, place of residence, the type and number of their identity document, and the dates of arrival and departure.

2.5. At check-in, the guest must present an identity document. If no such document is presented, the guest will not be registered and Hotel services will not be provided.

3. Agreement for services provided by the Hotel:

3.1. An agreement for the provision of services is deemed to have been concluded when the guest receives a reservation confirmation by email.

3.2. A verbal agreement between the parties becomes effective only when confirmed in writing;

3.3. The conclusion of an agreement for services provided by the Hotel supersedes all previous agreements between the parties concerning the terms and procedure for the provision of Hotel services and obliges the parties to perform the concluded agreement;

3.4. If any provision of the agreement for services provided by the Hotel is declared invalid or is subject to negotiations for amendment, the remaining provisions and the agreement as a whole remain valid.

4. Liability and safekeeping of belongings:

4.1. The safekeeping of Hotel guests’ belongings at the Hotel is governed by Article 6.865 of the Civil Code of the Republic of Lithuania.

4.2. Hotel guests must compensate the Hotel for material damage caused through their own fault or the fault of persons they have invited to the Hotel;

4.3. Guest(s) are responsible for their own safety while using the services provided by the Porto Hotel and must comply with the Hotel rules.

4.4. If a Hotel guest fails to fulfil their obligations under the agreement for services provided by the Hotel and/or uses the accommodation, catering or conference premises provided to them in a manner other than agreed with the Hotel, the Hotel has the right to terminate the agreement with the guest unilaterally and without prior notice and to demand payment of 100% of the total price of all services specified in the reservation confirmation.

5. Force majeure

5.1. The liability of the parties for failure to perform the agreement for services provided by the Hotel due to force majeure circumstances is governed by Article 6.212 of the Civil Code of the Republic of Lithuania.

6. Arrival and departure times

6.1. Hotel guests may check in from 3:00 p.m. on the arrival date specified in the reservation;

6.2. After checking in at the Hotel reception, the guest receives the electronic key(s) to their room(s);

6.3. Hotel guests must check out by 12:00 noon on the day of departure;

6.4. If a guest wishes to leave later than 12:00 noon, they must inform a member of the Hotel reception staff so that, subject to availability, the validity of the guest’s electronic room key can be extended;

6.5. If a guest leaves later than 12:00 noon, they must verbally notify the Hotel administrator so that the validity of the guest’s electronic room key can be extended;

6.6. If the guest leaves the Hotel no later than 6:00 p.m., they must pay 50% of the total agreed accommodation price for one night; if the guest leaves after 6:00 p.m., they must pay 100% of the total agreed accommodation price for one night;

6.7. If a Hotel Services Agreement or another individual agreement has been concluded with the Hotel, the arrival and departure procedure and conditions specified in that agreement apply;

6.8. If more guests stay in a Hotel room than specified in the Hotel reservation confirmation, an additional fee agreed between the parties must be paid to the Hotel for each additional guest.

7. Prices and payments:

7.1. The prices of services provided by the Hotel (including VAT), as well as the payment procedure and conditions, are specified in the Hotel Services Agreement, individual agreements and offers, on the Hotel website at www.portopramogos.lt, and in other official promotional and informational materials of the Hotel;

7.2. Hotel services may be paid for in cash, by credit card or by bank transfer;

5.3. Unless otherwise agreed, final payment for Hotel services must be made after the Hotel has provided the services. If a Hotel Services Agreement or another individual agreement has been concluded with the Hotel, the payment procedure and conditions specified in that agreement apply.

6. Other terms and conditions:

6.1. The Hotel undertakes to keep guests’ belongings found (left) at the Hotel for three months after the guest’s departure and not to use the stored belongings during the entire storage period;

6.2. Hotel guests must use the items and equipment in the Hotel properly, immediately notify the Hotel administration of any defects they notice and compensate for any damage if the defects arose through the guest’s fault;

6.3. Upon departure, guests must pay for minibar, laundry and ironing, restaurant and other services provided at the Hotel and inform the reception staff accordingly on the day of departure.

6.4. To ensure safety, some of the Hotel’s common areas and spaces are monitored by video cameras.

6.5. Smoking is prohibited in the Hotel premises and rooms. A fine of EUR 100 applies for violating this rule.

6.6. Hotel rooms are cleaned daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

6.7. The guest registered at the Hotel is responsible for any consequences arising from their own failure, and/or the failure of accompanying minors and/or their visitors, to know or comply with these rules.

6.8. Items located in Hotel rooms and other Hotel premises are the property of the Porto Hotel. Therefore, guest(s) are not entitled to take them when leaving the Hotel, except for single-use toiletries.

6.9. Noise is prohibited at the Hotel between 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. If a guest or guests fail to comply with this prohibition and thereby disturb public order or other persons staying and/or working at the Hotel, they will be held liable in accordance with the law.

6.10. By providing personal information and data on the Hotel Guest Registration Card, the Hotel guest(s) consent to the collection, use and processing of such information and data for commercial and/or promotional purposes (room reservations, guest registration, prevention of financial losses, protection against insolvent customers and direct marketing), as well as for internal statistical purposes.

6.11. All information learned by the Hotel and the guest(s) in the course of their cooperation is confidential and may not be transferred or otherwise disclosed to a third party without prior written agreement, except where disclosure is required under the laws and other legal acts of the Republic of Lithuania;

6.12. When collecting, processing and storing data and information provided by guest(s), the Hotel complies with the Law on Legal Protection of Personal Data of the Republic of Lithuania and other legal acts governing the collection, processing and storage of personal data.

7. Fire safety:

7.1. Guests must comply with fire safety rules. Electrical appliances must be switched off when leaving the room. Floor lamps and table lamps must not be covered with flammable materials. Fire safety instructions can be found in the Hotel services folder.
